Anyone else notice that some foods are self regulating?
When it came to weight loss, I had to reevaluate my relationship with food and how I consumed it.
Something I noticed is that it's really easy to eat a whole lot of Hot Cheetos because I never get an urge in my brain to stop eating them. However, with cake, ice cream, soda, and pasta, there is a point that my brain says "No. Put this away now. Do not eat anymore or you will feel sick."
It's very easy for me to eat the recommended serving size of all of these foods as I have an innate urge to stop eating them. With Hot Cheetos, I unfortunately had to cut them out of my diet entirely because I couldn't control myself. I even got to a point where I trying to manage my portion sizes by buying a few single serving bags at a time. After I ate the first one, I wouldn't feel satisfied and would open another bag immediately.
Something I've noticed is that chips never feel satisfying after you've eaten them, only while you're eating them. I unironically get cravings for Hot Cheetos on the daily that are worse than any nicotine craving I've ever experienced. I know Hot Cheetos were engineered from the ground up to be addictive as possible, but what I experience personally is just ridiculous. Nobody I know who has eaten them feels the same way I do.
Does anyone else experience not being able to control themselves with certain foods? Or being able to control yourself with certain foods? Why can I regulate myself with these other supposedly "addictive foods" but Hot Cheetos? Why are some foods self regulating?
