Need help identifying a good open source data annotation tool

TL;DR: To save my job, I need to identify an open source annotation / labeling tool that can be integrated into a new site/app that my company is building. The job is a bad match, but I just want to survive until I find another job.

I'm reaching out in a bit of a panic, hoping some of you might have the expertise or advice that can help me out of a tight spot. Here's my situation:

Earlier this year, I was laid off from my first-ever job as an analyst. It's been a challenging journey, but after months of searching, I finally landed a job as a product manager in a small startup for lower pay. Unfortunately, it's not a good fit for me, but the job market has been tough, and I'm afraid I won't find another opportunity.

My manager set up a meeting on Monday, asking me to design an annotation/label tool (using open source tools that can be integrated into our site) that can work on both desktop web and mobile web, and if possible, a mobile app as well. Our client needs this site/app for image annotations, and the deadline to identify the open source software is tomorrow. I mentioned that there are existing sites/apps out there, but for whatever reason, we have to build one in-house. I guess he doesn't want to pay for existing solutions and is hoping to use open source ones to keep the cost low. However, I have no experience in software development, and the only other person on the project (SW Engineer) is on PTO this entire week, so I can't reach out to her for guidance.

To make matters worse, my manager strongly hinted that my job depends on the success of this task. Both he and I know that I am not a good fit. I'm experiencing panic attacks and desperately searching for any help or guidance you guys can offer.

I tried searching online, but I couldn't make much progress, and I'm running out of time.

On a personal note, I've promised my nephew and niece a visit to Disneyland around the holidays, and I don't have any savings. I'm really worried about losing my job before the holidays.

If anyone has any experience with open source software for image annotation or can guide me on where to look or what to do in this situation, I would be immensely grateful. I feel like I'm drowning, and any help would be a lifeline.
