Why is Jack Morris’s Game 7 Performance Seemingly Overlooked Among the Greatest Pitching Performances of All Time? It’s Definitely the Most Clutch Single-Game Pitching Performance Ever

I mean on this sub it’s hardly ever mentioned among the various no-hitters, perfect games, and 20 strikeout games when considering the greatest pitching performances of all time.

Yes, he wasn’t as dominant as some of those other performances (7 hits, 2 walks, 8 K’s + Lonnie Smith forgetting how to run the bases) but he pitched A COMPLETE 10 INNING SHUTOUT and got the W of the deciding game in the closest and greatest WS ever. He probably doesn’t make the HoF if he doesn’t have that performance.

He didn’t have the greatest postseason pitching run ever (Mad Bum 2014, Randy Johnson 2001, Koufax 1965- idk why no one hardly mentions this he went 2-1 with a 0.38 ERA and 29 K’s I think it’s the GOAT pitcher postseason run) but for my money, Jack Morris had the most clutch single game pitching performance ever and it should be considered one of the greatest outings of all time.
