Is taking Architecture worth it?

I'm currently a Gr 11 student in Toronto, Canada, looking at architecture after taking a summer course at UofToronto and I have a friend who is strongly interested in it. I've always been interested in arts and science, and I've always been directed towards architecture. I don't have any super strong interest
I have recently looked into and started preparing for architecture but I've seen everyone say that they regret taking it/it's not worth it.
I am lucky and my parents are able to financially support me, so my plan was to take the first couple years of architecture, and if I didn't like it, I would try for my science related interests (medical/engineering), but I'm starting to doubt that as I hear more and more about how hard it is even just in the first year.
For the future, I also don't want to work so hard and still make not as much money as I could in other professions (I'm scared of not having money)
Any advice?
