Copyright claim on a 1894 song?

Hey, I have a question. I recently gotten a content id claim on my best performing video, it wasn't there before. And it is owned by someone but the original song is from 1894, well before the copyright limit. So my question is can I file a claim? The version I have is of a 1960s computer singing the song. Do covers of public domain song have copyright protection?
