Why do YOU still like Yandere Simulator/follow its development?
Emphasis on the "you" just to be more immersive to the reader's individual and personal answer.
So, as far as we know, Yandere Simulator failed. Its creator is not only a bad developer but a horrible person. I know many people in this sub came across this game while it was at its peak and were children, thus the nostalgia.
I, for example, was utterly obsessed with this game throughout all my middle school-teenage years, this game was my favorite for years and there wasn't another one who could sparkle that same vibe for me. I can't even explain in words how this game was so special to me (and still is, at some point) and how it made a massive mark in my childhood. And I imagine a lot of you were like me, at least in some way.
However, after all these years of development, failure, messes, scams, controversies... The game just dies out more and more in general, and also for me. We all know for a fact that Yandere Simulator had awesome stuff at its peak and all the potential to be a good remarkable game in the indie genre, however, it was all thrown in the trash now.
This game will NEVER peak like it once did, and it will NEVER have the potential it once had. This game is probably never going to be finished after all, and even if it is finished some day, it's probably gonna suck.
As far as I really like this game's peak era and all the good memories it brought me, as I grow more and more, I just realize this game just seems SO stupid at the point, and I'm starting to see no more reason to look forward to it anymore (I know it was obvious, but nostalgia and hope really held me back). Sometimes I watch new YouTube content about it, and sometimes I lurk in this sub, but nothing is that interesting anymore. Plus, Yandere Dev is a sicko and thinking that I still consume the content of someone like that makes me feel icky, especially because I matured a lot compared to when I started to like this game (obviously, I was a child who didn't really understand the controversies back then and it wasn't the way that it is now). So I was just wondering, why are people still following this game? Is it just nostalgia, or what?
I could literally make a 100+ pages vent of how many messes and failures this game and everything related to it has, and how disappointed I feel, like a part of my childhood was destroyed. But, we all know that, we all feel like that. So why are you, still following and consuming this game's content?
