issues with allocated space for fridge in new build kitchen

Did the desnag recently for a new build and I said I’d get measurements for all the main appliances at the same time. The allocated space for the fridge is 1.6m high and there is a cabinet on top. Unfortunately the majority of fridges I’ve seen are 1.75m high and up. I am a lot more limited in terms of choice with the allocated space. This seems like a pretty big oversight to me and I believe most if not all the new builds in this estate have the same problem. Can I go back to the builder and ask for them to raise the height of the press or am I asking too much with such a request? I’d rather get the fridge I want than either have to settle for a smaller one or have to pay to get the cabinet refitted. TIA
