Has anyone had gut issues and gone on to successfully inject?

I've been fighting an intestinal infection and now daily bouts of diarrhea (3-4 times each morning) for the past couple months. I recently turned in a stool sample to the local clinic and hope they can determine what's wrong, but this has all delayed my starting the injections I ordered back in January.

I guess I want to know a) if anyone else has started the injections after a long bout of intestinal problems, b) if more people are prone to constipation or diarrhea once starting, and c) how long the sealed vials are good for (I got a 6 month supply)?
