Loona is an underutilized character

I know it’s not a hot take to say the female characters in helluva boss aren’t as developed or focused on as the male characters. Millie is the biggest example people bring up, but honestly I think Loona has even less focus than Millie.

Loona is often a glorified background character, and her character always has to involve or be about Blitzø in some way. I understand he’s her father, and don’t get me wrong, I like their father daughter relationship but I wish Loona was given something to do that didn’t involve Blitzo. The closest we have given to any kind of storyline involving Loona is her crush on Vortex, but of course Blitzø had to be a big part of that. Again, I understand she’s his daughter, but Loona feels less like her own individual character and more as an accessory to Blitzø’s character to make him look better/more sympathetic.

The thing is I think Loona has a lot of potential. I loved her heart to heart with Octavia but it literally never comes up again. The fact that she pushes others away and puts up a stone cold facade due to trauma is interesting, but again, we only see that through Blitzo’s perspective. She and Millie have a lot of potential as well as the sole girls of IMP but they’ve only interacted a few times and again they’re mostly there to be accessories to push the male characters. I understand that the reason Loona doesn’t have such a prominent role in S2 is due to some personal stuff with Loona’s voice actor but I hope Viv expands on her character without Blitzø as the focal point.
